Questions We Get a Lot
A motorized louvered pergola features adjustable aluminum slats along the roof that open and close via an electric motor—typically controlled through a wall switch, remote, or smartphone app. You can fine-tune the angle of the louvers to manage sunlight, airflow, and rain protection throughout the day. It's the kind of effortless outdoor control that makes a real difference in how much you actually use your outdoor space.
Most louvered pergolas in our collection are designed with closed-position louvers that form a rainproof roof seal, keeping the area beneath dry during light to moderate rainfall. The aluminum construction is also built to resist corrosion and weather over time. Product listings include specific waterproofing details so you can choose the level of protection that fits your climate.
Many of our motorized pergolas are compatible with Wi-Fi and app-based control, allowing them to fit naturally into a connected outdoor lifestyle. Some models also support voice assistant and smart-home platform integration—check each product's listing for compatibility details. Smart Sanctuary Living is built around the idea that your backyard should feel just as effortlessly connected as the rest of your home.
We offer Free Shipping on Most Orders Within the Continental U.S. (Excludes AK/HI), and all pergola purchases are covered by our 30-Day Returns policy. Because pergolas ship as large freight items, we recommend reviewing the product listing for any specific delivery notes before ordering. For return details and eligibility, please refer to our Return Policy page.
About Our Motorized Pergolas
A motorized pergola is one of the most meaningful upgrades you can make to an outdoor living space. At its core, it is a freestanding or attached overhead structure with adjustable louvered slats that open and close on demand—giving you precise control over sunlight, shade, ventilation, and rain protection from a single point of control. Where a fixed canopy offers one setting for every condition, a motorized louvered roof adapts with you throughout the day and across seasons. This category is ideal for homeowners who want to genuinely extend the usable life of their patio, deck, or backyard entertaining area—not just on perfect days, but through heat, glare, and unexpected showers. When shopping, consider the size and footprint you need, the build material (aluminum is a trusted choice for longevity and low maintenance), the IP or waterproof rating, and whether app or smart-home control matters to your setup. The right motorized pergola turns an underused outdoor space into a comfortable, year-round retreat you will actually live in.
